Are you not worried about the magnetic field those earth magnets are generating? The power supply for instance or the HDD's?

Not too much. they are only 1/8 in long. they dont grab until you get them about an inch apart. my HDD's are in the back of the compartments so that shouldn't be a problem and you would need a pretty powerful field to disrupt you PS.
My wife's csx case has stronger ones right along the side next to the bays and they don't seem to bother anything.

Thanks!! the idea of the camo is not so much to conceal but to disrupt the shape so you cant tell what part your looking at right away. In the real world it helps against unguided weapons. I'm not sure but I think the navy uses a simular style sometimes. I decided to try it with an urban pattern instead.

jesus is that all I got done today? nope. glued and set the pvc in second missile bay, and worked on the right gun's "clips"......man, don't seem like much does it.

My whats left list;

paint feet, paint left lower leg, paint mother board tray, finish right gun, paint optical drives, paint control center,need to start the chain gun (saving best for last), bolt it together, install components.

I should (have to or my wife will kill me for spending all this money) be able to complete it in time.

I also finished camo on lower leg,filled and sanded then first coated 2nd missile bay door, taped off and painted inside of mother board area (gloss black).. pics turned out like crap, i'll try again tomorrow.

Dude!! Serious, how lucky was it to match up the control center to the right leg with the black!!!!

I primed, and first coated the the feet.
took the facing off the optical drives and XIM primed the pieces.
tomorrow I plan on camo'n all those parts. i should be able to install the power supply also.

Installed power supply. holy crap that thing should be called medusa, I suggest saving that little bit extra and getting a modular box if you don't need all the leads. I shoulda took a pic before i routed everything under the fans but I get ahead of myself.

I installed 4 of the nine coolermaster 120 clear, blue led fans. actually two are already installed in the four in one modules. those came with a plain black fan that was quickly tossed (put up for future use on a relatives repair. )

Like I said .."one helluva chaingun" all i used for the chaingun was 6 3/4 barrels, 1 3/4 barrel support, 5 inch pvc cap, and a 5 inch pvc to threaded piece. i wish you could see the detail in the pics.......so many barrels. whats up with the wussy artillery on the right..........oh well, next project. my wife cut off sponsorship.

to mold the hood i built the shape i needed out of wood, clamped one end to the frame and used a common propane torch to slowly melt the plex to conform with the frame.
I used 1/4 plex for this part.

I actually finished this on the 1st of november, the last day to register for the cooler master contest.
I couldn't post or take as many pics as I wanted to because of time constraints. I do apologize for that. if something i did is unclear please let me know.

I needed a couple of days to recoup after such a long 2 months, the last few days I was only sleeping a couple hours a day between work and this project, but I am starting to come around. would I do another project like this in 2 months? Hell no. Did I enjoy it? hell yes. It was a hugh learning experience and I will be able to look back and say "yep. I did that, and I think it's kick ass!!"

Yeah, I had planned on repainting my basement floor anyway so i didnt bother.

That things pretty solid my daughter could probably climb on it. It would take a deliberate push to knock it over.
