| I'll admit it... I'm pretty new to the motorcycle circuit... Is $1800.00 for a 1984 Honda Shadow 500 a good price? I've got an appointment with the guy to come see it this weekend, and I was thinking about moving on it. It's red, street legal, chain-driven, and has 6,000 miles on it. Guy who's selling it said it belonged to his brother who put the milage on it and then left it with him... and he doesn't have the time or interest to learn how to ride it. Says it's pretty much in show-room condition as it's lived in the garage. I'm thinking I may have to deal with the sad effects of a bike sitting for a long period of time, but I figure it's worth a look. Anyone have any advice? I've hit google, and about all I can find is info on the 700cc version. | ||

Oh yes. I don't want to have to try to register a vehicle with a fracked title... it's been on my mind... I might just wuss out and go new, but I don't know if I want to get a 250cc bike new, or try to find a bigger bike used. I tell ya, 500cc is about where I wanted to go for my first bike... Still, the headaches of previous owners would be mine to cherish :-P | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
