The Lexus was doing 40 and didnt hit the brakes. Acura was stopped at a light.

So I take it the Lexus is no longer with us? Acura looks very-much fixable

I drive my mom's Acura often, I'm rather happy how well that survived! Any damage inside that could have seriously hurt someone in the backseat?

All four doors open. My moms neck and back hurts and we will probably sue.

Just by the amount of body work that needs to be done, doesn't look to salvagable. Any word on insurance? Totaled?

Man glad to hear every one is ok, way to go Acura! the real window is not even cracked. My sis has a 2006 TL glad to know she is safe in it.

We are thinking 6-8 to fix it.

You should tell the insurance company you don't want it and sue the hitter. I dont care how good a body shop that car will never again feel the same. Ontop of that if she wants to oneday sell it or trade it in the value will go down considerably when they do a car fax.


Glad to see you and your mom are ok. It couldve'd been alot of worse if you were in a smaller car or in the back seat.

yeah! Theres the answer! Throw a lawsuit on the guy that rear ended you over an accident.

I was rear ended and I never even thought of a lawsuit against the gal that hit me. Accidents will happen.
Also, thats not a 40MPH hit. Looks more like 15-20. If it was 40 mph the back would be flush with the rear window and the window woud be shattered.

I doubt it was 40 mph either without hitting the brakes, i've seen it before on an acura, granted it wasnt a TL. Suing is ONLY neccesary if you have hospital bills...if you want to sue the person to get rich quick, I think you need to look at life a little more seriously. Suing has become a huge problem today, people loose their whole life's earnings because someone wants money now. I think you and your mom need to re-evaluate whether her neck pain is worth seein a doctor and ruining someones life and practically stealing their money, they are already in a load of **** from insurance and a possible ticket, why make it worse? Like I said, if your mom has a broken neck thats a completely different story, but don't sue someone because you have a little pain and you are greedy.

Don't sue over simple pain, if there is serious problems and insurance won't cover it then sue. I was just in an accident, driving my 89Sidekick did approx 5k in damage to the other car, did approximately 400.00 to mine (If i bought a new grill, or pulled the dent out of my bumper for shop labor did it myself and paid 20.00 to fix it all). So yeah, go Suzuki.... didn't get sued, no injuries, however he wouldn't have gotten anything had he sued me, maybe a grand if he wanted my bank account, wouldn't have covered his lawyer.
