Hey Hey! My aunt and uncle surpised me with a car on my front lawn last night, they bought me a car for my 18th bday ( its only un june lol ) its a 1993 civic lx, its rather clean except for a little spot of rust at bottom of door and on thingy around wheel in back. Now.. ive been a civic hater since i was born.. could never stand them, hated them, ricer this ricer that.. but my dad talked me into it a week ago ( to see if i would like what they were getting me) so i eventually agreed i wouldnt mind one, dont get me wrong i liek what they look like.. but god damn they got slow stock engines, so i started looking into engine swaps for this beast of a car ( coff coff) thats what made me even more into getting it... ill be putting in a b16a1 or a2 into her, 160hp and only 1.6l... (lotta hp per l) i found engine tranny and ecu for not much for then 1000$ for a 99 and alot of others... so ill definantly be putting this in worklogs



ill probably making it into some sort of sleeper to laugh as i pass ricers with wings ontop of wings ontop of wings!, and i cant put a bodykit or a small one anyways cuz ill be lapping with it at the local track.

edit: my mom thought a wing was on the hood, when i asked her how that worked she explained to me that she preatty much thought it was a blower.. (use to my dads old rides i guess) blower on a civic ? loll uh.. that be cute eh

Howdy neighbor glad to see you got a car looks very nice and should be very good on gas with the way the prices of fuel are. By the way i sold my 1967 Mustang GT 500 i still can not beleve i did it but it is gone almost cried seeing it leave.

Ps .you could always put some sort of pin striping down each side of it. Here is cool place to get some cool looking graphic decals.

Don't listen to Ranger1033. Even though those pin stripes give you about 30 horsepower, they look homosexual on a car like yours. Keep the all black look.

I might be getting a '94 EX soon. I'm hoping the deal comes through on that. I've been anti-rice for a good while too, until I had a revelation: you cannot brag about outrunning a Civic in your Mustang. I mean, all these V8 guys laugh about the 'Import Tuner' crowd, who aren't necesarilly into the body kits and stuff, but just building the crap out of 4-cylinders. There's absolutely nothing wrong with building a 4-cylinder. And if a guy in a Mustang or other V8 talks about how he can outrun you, either punch him in the mouth or just tell him to drop a couple hundred cubic inches and then come talk to him about who can outrun who.

The car has a lot of potential. That B16 wouldn't be bad at all in that car, but you should really think about getting yourself a B18C1 or whatever it is, the V-TEC B18 from a GSR Integra. Those motors are SICK.

Do all your performance stuff, and then maybe drop some coilovers on it for handling, and I'd agree with TYCOON on those gunmetal wheels, and get the kind with the polished lip.

Anywho, look forward to seeing a worklog of this *beast* given a new life.

yea stripes are cool on "SOME" cars but not that kind It would look wierd

Oh, don't forget about those high performance muffler bearings, canooter valves, and negative battery return springs!

But yeah, the fuzzy dice, the pin stripe or other 'vinyls', underbody neons, "bump in da trunk," seizure-causing strobes, etc. are all good for at least 100 extra horsepower at minimum. It's all about the aerodynamics of the stickers down the side, and the way the components are wired for maximum performance to your engine and ECU.

hey i get my headers and 21/2 piping and muffler today, im going to take catalyser shell and rap it around pipe lol.. hope it doesnt make it to loud, no im keeping my d15b7, but im goin to be putting a d16z6 or y8 head on it, gives more compression and vtec kicks in, then ill be changing pistons but not the rods,cam shaft and valve springs etc etc, and yes ill be keeping it black, want it to be sleeper, basicaly i want to say ya i hvae a 1.5l.. but im running xxxwhp... ive seen some running well over 200whp with turbos, seems interesting i might run a turbo at 6-7psi... and eventually take out block and get it forged and so forth and try to get to around 13-14psi if im lucky.

p.s should i take photos of me doing all this ? would anyone be interested i know this is a comp site but.. anywho let me know.

Dr3w, Myself i think it might be cool see the work you do on your car ,even thu it is a computer web site to me it would be like a work log and you are modding your car. And i see you have a good start with the stuff you baught, Sorry if i made a mistake posting that about the pinstripes it was just a sugestion but some people seem to take it the wrong way. Keep up with the great work on your car.

Great thanks for the support you are truly a great freind, Dr3w just trying to help out a freind. It will look great all black just make sure to keep a good eye on it cause once black gets scratch you will notice it rite off and it looks terrible till you fix it.

ya i know theres always down sides to everything.. white ish colers u always see dirt marks and etc, and black u always see scratches, anywho im off now to go get my stuff be posting pics soon.

tommarow im goin to install my new muffler 21/2 also, im going to chrome my headers when i change my head to a z6 head.

I've drove a 1994 Honda Accord LX around for the last 4 years. It was a great car, probably the best I've ever owned. Last year it blew out the timing chain and bent all the valves ($1500) and earlier this year the Tranny started screwing up and the A/C died. My only complaint is the price of parts. If they weren't so high I'd keep it. However I got a Great deal on a 97 Camaro Sport. It's getting about 20 mpg punching it around town.
