| im shopping for a new car, and the decision is between a 1999-2001 camaro z-28, or a 2000-2002 mustang gt. from yall's experience which one do you think is a better car? ive personally owned a 1996 gt w/ 4.6l, and a 1994 z-28 lt1. i liked the z28 better. it had alot more power, and the tranny was alot stronger. have n e of yall had a bad experience w/ any one of the above stated cars? im leaning towards the Z. i have heard good things about the ls1, and i know from experience that the t-56 6-spd tranny is tough. i also know from experience that fords have weak front ends, and the t-45 5spd. w/ od tranny is not the strongest thing around. if i were to go with a gt, i think i might swing the auto route, and get a 3.73 gear w/ 2500 stall, and posi diff... all suggestions will be heard, respected, and appreciated. thnx, trey | ||

| all motor 12's is tough w/ stang, i am not interested in juice... still thinkin about the decision... z28 will hold value alot better. been reading reviews, and from what i gather so far... the ls1 is a more dependable motor. and i already know the t-56 tranny blows the for t-45 out of the water. but i do like the 4.6 motor, but very costly to get power? i dunno.. preciate opinions trey | ||

| personally i think the old fox bodies are beaner lookn.. and ugly... would never get one unless biulding a cheap strip vehicle. highperf... are u talkin about bolt-ons? i dont wanna do any motor mods.. no head-work, or cams, just bolt ons... are u sure these thing get into the 10's w/o heavy motor modifications? ive seen these things w/ fipk's, rear-end gears, exhaust systems and other boltons, barely break into 13's. but ive seen z's w/ boltons, rear end gears, and exhaust systems. break into the mid-high 12's i know it sounds like im not takin yalls opinions, but i am... im just tryin to debate a lil bit ... so i can drain more info outta all of yall, and im still real hesitant w/ ford front ends, and their 5spd. tranny's.... every ford ive ever had.. the front end went to sh1t... and my mustang gt i used to have went through 2 tranny rebiulds. also have a good friend who has a '95 gt w/ a 5.0 and used to have a t-5 tranny, but he blew that one, so he bought a brand new t-45 and did a swap. that only got about 10,000miles before it started grindin into gears... so he had to get it rebiult... not once but twice! i will admit though... my gt did look good! and interior was very comfortable w/ blk leather, and fully loaded.. the first car i ever owned was a '93 z-28 lt1.. and gotta admit... that thing was so much more powerful than my gt... and i never had a stitch of trouble with it. trey | ||
