I was droolin' over a Subaru STI parked in this car lot on my walk home from gettin' caffeine.

it's raining and dismal (a good day in my book) and there's a hope in my heart that I could trade my 3KGT in on it... admittingly, I like the looks of my GT a lot better, but I have to admit... the prospect of more power and AWD seems like a fun idea (as my brain isn't thinking about the REAL issues... like the damn insurance rates sharing a policy with my 19 year old girlfriend)...

Interior isn't bad, looks nice and clean, if just a touch ricer... then I notice... it's got a damn tape deck!

I looked on the internet, and it looks like it comes with either/or... Who the hell uses tapes in the car anymore? What the hell made them think, "Ya know... I miss the 70s,80s and early 90s... let's throw a tape deck in this electronic marvel, just for retro's sake!"

I have a tape deck in my Impala... that I haven't driven in over 9 years (Damn... time friggin' flies don't it?)
I remember it chewing up my Dire Straights tape AND my WhiteSnake cassette... CD players a freakin' dime a dozen these days for cheap-o stuff... I buy a 30K sports car, I want a freakin' CD player. Hell, I want an MP3/WMA player or one of those superdrive decks that will play audio DVDs... but no... Cassette Deck on board...

Am I being overly elitist about this, or does anyone else think it's a little strange?!?

how much you selling your 3000gt for dood, and could u list all mods? My bro jsut blew up hus 20psi turbo AWD 460hp eagle talons engine rofl. So anyway get back to me. And yes thats friggin gay as hell, i would have thrown a rock at it ran behind a fence and giggled like a 5 year old

On a Talon Turbo?

Serves him right, what a tard. 20 PSI is overkill, especially on that little 4 cyl. Even a big beefy Ford 3.0 Vulcan can barely handle 10 to 13PSI.

I'm looking for roughly 10K for it... Mods are light as I've been broke... however, I'm now in Montana... so if ya want it, it's gonna be a drive!

MODS: Modified F-pipe, test pipe and short ram. Pioneer 7600 MP3/WMA player. I've got brand new, $120 brake pads for it. I've also put 800 bucks worth of wheels on it in the last 6 months. Total milage is at 64,000.

I've had her at over 135 on the open roads out here... she purrs.

New fuel filter installed as of a week ago, it's been waxed in the last month (and I'm clay/carnuba-ing it tonight/tomorrow)

Full Disclosure: Needs a new rear wiper motor, a passenger door lock relay and there is a small dent in the rear panel on the driver's side. Past that, it's really clean. I've made sure to treat the seats with leather restorer, and the dash/console has been armor-alled.

Anyway... if you're interested... it's not a bad drive from here back to Arizona, especially since the snow melted

I take that back. The 3.0 Vulcan is a Mazda motor.

Tell your friend that Peterblt called. they want their turbocharger back.

Tape deck is probably cheaper than a nice stereo with component ins, but it lets you get a $5 tape adapter and plug in whatever cd, mp3 whatever player you want. Not the best solution, but probably the cheapest for the factory.

the amount of boost your using doesn't depend on the size of the motor or the cylinders, which is mainly the reason these imports with small motors can rape *american muscle*. The 4G63 motor found in first and second generation eclipse, talons, and lasers is notorious for being bulletproof taking well over 20PSI on many occasions. However the same cannot be said about their transmissions...
