Default Subs and Amps

I'm very inexperienced with car audio. My amp is nothing fancy, a Lightning LA1.150.2 But I would like to know what type of 8" subs I should buy so that I am not over powering them or underpowering them. It says that the RMS is 50 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms. I'm guessing that it is not so powerful. So what type of subs should I buy? Thanks in advance for any help.

it sounds like you should be able to buy any subs. you should not have a problem overpowering them. however, dont quote me on that. not really a car audio pimp.

i would buy subs that can handle at least 600 watts max, because they are usually ~150watts rms. they shoudl work fine, some good sub brands are alpine, phoenix gold, and infinity. there are quite a few more brands....check out this site, they have many "odd" brands but a few well known ones. cheap too ;-) http://www.justwoofers.com

ok, my brother got 2 10 inch lightning audio subs from walmart running at 300 watts each, and theyre rms is 150 watts, and u dont need to much power for them to sound good. we got an Xplod 250 watt amp and its rly rly loud, and its all in the back of a 1995 Ford Aspire., RLY tiny car, shakes the HELL out of of it!!

I'll make some recommendations later today, I have to go out soon and it would take too long.
