I like japanese cars. It's not like I don't appreciate some good American Muscle, but I do prefer reliability over horsepower.

I like my trans am. Raw power, throws you way back in the seat. But my 350z handles like a dream and feels like it is made better. Cant get the girlfreind to race me in the Z though. I have had my 350z at 152mph. The trans am feels a little shaky around 135mph but I know it will do more.

I love import cars, as well as domestic. I'm getting a Nissan 240sx as a project car, but I drive an '86 ranger 2.9l 5speed.

i love all cars. i would love to have a 72 chevelle ss as a project car though. oooh oooh!! i would like to own a 1996 nissan 300zx or a Mitsubishi 3000GT. I'm into the rarer imports. if i was offered the choice of any car in the world, i'd take a nissan r33 skyline (tommykaira edition). more style and class than the r34. that and the tommykaira (forgive my spelling if its wrong) is just beautiful. only four hundred of them exist, and there is only 1 in the states i believe.

Man, that's tough. I love muscle cars for the sheer make-a-Frenchman-whimper brute force, but there's something undeniably seductive about a V-12 from Modena.

Anyone else remember back in March of '64, when Car and Driver did a (scandalous) comparison test of "GTO vs. GTO" (Pontiac and Ferrari)? Me neither, since I wasn't born yet, but that's beside the point... Picking one's tough.

For me, a red Ferrari 430 is about as sexy as it gets. Sure, the Enzo and a small list of other supercars are faster, but so's a 747 (looks are a big part of sexy). Honorable mention also goes to the Acura NSX, for being a real-world supercar -- besides the drivability and reliability of a Honda, you can get a good used one for the price of the average new SUV.

Good man. Those cars are fun as hell. I had a chance to get one for 500 dollars, but I didn't jump on it. Silly me, since it was worth far more than that to many enthusiasts.

Eh - y? Last several years Japan has becomes as unreliable as domestic, or domestic has become as reliable as Japanese depending how you want to look at it. Torque and HP per CID is getting just as good on NA engines.

At lest domestic you can negotiate prices with normally - I've yet to see where you could talk a Toyota dealer to their invoice, where you can talk hundreds off the invoice of a domestic.

Right now the only car I want is the 2005 Mustang GT.

Of course there are hundreds of other cars I would love to own.

But in the real world it’s the ‘stang.

I don't think you can rate cars solely by their country of origin - Germany for example has produced both Mercedes Benz & the Trabant

The best all-round car I've ever owned was a 1983 Vauxhall Cavalier. It was rated at only 75BHP but topped out at 110mph & got there pretty quick, considering its size it handled well too - especially lift-off oversteer on roundabouts & tight bends, & use of the handbrake instead of parallel parking ... the brakes were awesome too.

I could get 8ft lengths of timber in it without having to move anything & still get the boot shut, & it was a peice of p1ss to work on - everything seemed to have been designed with easy maintainance in mind - changing the water pump required only three bolts to be undone, for example.

I've had cars that were better made, some that were (a lot) faster, some that had a lot more pulling power, etc etc, but that was definately the best all-round, every day car I've had.

I finally decided to retire it at the ripe old age of 13, after I broke a piston by over-revving it. It didn't smoke & it still ran fine, & didn't rattle too badly, but I had another car as well, so sold it ... I still got £150 for it
