Default Hookin' up a PC in a car for audio

I know it's possible, I have this PC Chips mobo I wanna use, but where does the power come from? I can do the speakers and the rest, I was going to learn how to do it on my Probe and when I get my Civic, do it much better on there. So where do you tap into the power for the motherboard, and can you use a conventional computer power supply?

You can use an inverter with a conventional computer power supply to avoid problems with wiring your own car-powered molex's.. You'd need an awfully powerful inverter tho..

I've ran my Dell Optiplex GX200 P3 1ghz off a 400w inverter when the hurricanes hit and I needed to empty the pictures in my camera. Ran the monitor too.

There are some DC-DC power supplies. Google 'em up. I am getting one for a Via 1Ghz PC I'm building for my car.

As far as cost is concerned, maybe the best option would be to run a few inverters ( rather than one really expensive one) and plug everything into those, or to run only the Mobo/PCI(& or)AGP-slot/proc off an inverter & reg PSU and power everything else separately.

It's going to be soley a really fancy .mp3 / CD player, almost nil 3D. everything is onboard. Will be very simple, a DVD-ROM drive and a 60 or an 80gb drive.
