| It followed me all the way home from deep in the woods, Arkansas. It looked so pathetic that I couldn't just leave it outside so I let it stay in the garage. I think it will be living there for a long, long time. It's a 1970 Satellite Coupe with a 318 under the hood. Eight years ago this car was being shown, but it has been outside under a grove of pine trees for over 7 years now. The dents on the roof are from branches that fell on it during storms. There are two matching ones on the drivers side. It is covered in tree sap and pollen and there are pine needles stuffed in every nook and cranny. Amazingly though, the body is relatively rust free. There are a couple of spots near the trim on the back window and a couple around the front window that will need to be fixed, but the rest of it is clean. There is 68K on the motor and it is all original. Unfortunately, it is barely running right now. I can get it started but I have to keep the RPM's way up for it to stay running (which made it fun to get on and off the trailer). It is either a spark or fuel problem, I haven't figured it out yet. I'm sure I will be asking for a lot of advice once I start working on the motor. | ||

| You're right j-dogg, you don't see them anymore. I've been Googling my butt off trying to find a 70 that was still completely stock but only found one. It was a girl that has a Yellow one with a Black vinyl top. Every other one I could find is either junkyard fodder or has been modded. The one I have was not very popular when it was new because it was such a "Vanilla" car and you could get a Sport or convertible model, a Road Runner, or a GTX for just a few bucks more. If I can keep it completely OEM that works in my favor. | ||

| Gotta get that carb off and clean the varnish out of the idle jets. Hopefully that is the only thing wrong with it not running well at low rpm. Get the non-enviromentally friendly carb cleaner and have a go at it. ![]() Otherwise real glad to hear it has a new home. Good luck getting her back to roadworthy condition. Feel free to ask, I have played with a few mopars and I may not know everything but will be more than willing to try and help. Have a few good stories to go with ownership of a 318 powered pickup years ago if you ever want comic relief. ![]() | ||
