Default My new bike

1984 Honda VF700C with 21000 miles on the dot. It runs, needs a little list of things done to it. I polished all the chrome and it doesn't look too bad now. Got it for 350$ with title and key This one is the black one.

Also heres my other one, Same year and bike different color. Gonna paint the black one to look like this one. This one has 9000 miles on it. My dad drives it with his 1984 VF1100C (same red color) and his GoldWing.

Nice bike! I am afraid of riding one around here due to the stupid drivers. I know an upolstry(sp) dude that could pimp that seat out!

Nice find for $350. I rode a Virago that had a similar frame and it was real comfortable for around the town riding.

I have always wanted a Road King and haven't had a bike since my drag strip tricked out 1982 Kawasaki Spectre that I got rid of in 1992, but I am more and more tempted every day to pick up another Japanese bike just to bang around with. For $350, I would have been all over that. I can't afford the $20K for my dream bike yet.

I'd jump on it now BA, older jap bikes are getting really popular and the price is inflating. I recently just finished shopping for one. wound up with an 82 suzuki, 800 bucks.

All my favorite bikes were made in 84 with the V4 engines.

Thanks. Yeah.. people around here are nuts, Hopefully it doesn't get worse when I learn how to drive. As for the seat, I'm thinking it might be cheapest to find a half-decent one on ebay.

Thanks, I've never rode it.... But siting on it and my dad riding it, he says they are very comfortable cruisers. Not slow either.

When I get home from work I will have to send you my V-4 links. That seat should be cheap enough to replace. Good to see another member on the road. Just be carefull, I'm sure your dad has told ya a million times already but this is one of the times to believe the old man.

This one is an online honda parts fiche lookup. You can find the factory honda part number and price for almost everything they made. They are somewhat close to you also if you needed a Honda shop. I dealt with them when I lived in the area.

Cleaned and painted the frame/reserve tank and the head bolts on the engine. Armor-all'd the engine/engine side cover and rear wheel and polished all the chrome. It really came back from the dead.
Next on the list:
Buy front fender, bottom part of airbox assembly, seat, left side cover, turn signal stays, airbox side covers, decals, emblem for the rear, Gas tank bolts and rubber bushings, paint and thats it. Not really alot of things to do left.

Be smart, and wear a helmet. I've hear too many stories about "Organ Donors" aka people that smush their heads and nothing else.

Have fun too, I've always wanted a bike to fix up.

No offence but if I had a 15 year old daughter, I wouldn't let her ride on the back of one of those with you
