Did you see the Feb '08 Car and Drive. Heffner ford gt versus Lingenfelter ZO6 Vette. 0-200-0 and the vette got beat. The ford did it in 26.5 seconds. Yep dead stop to 200mph and to a dead stop in 26.5 seconds.

They claim in the test article that every time the corvette stopped, one of the brake rotors would crack as it cooled off way to go chevy.

Plus, its a Corvette, so it'll handle like a brick on an ice rink.

Yeah, I think the Americans really suffer from having roads without corners.

Certainly true for the export market, but I guess its just not a problem there with the vast distances between places. Straight line speed is where it counts.

Your XJ220 is still one of my all time favorite British supercars, that and the TVR Speed 12.



The DB9 is nice but the only real Aston Martin I like is the one with built-in machine guns and an ejection seat.

Yep it's the dodge viper, with upgrades by Hennessey.

For the British guys, our cars can corner also. We just prefer straight line numbers to brag about when we have the chance too. From your own tv series "top gear" that ford gt is 12th on their road course list. Beating many others including Italian, German and British supercars, and that was a factory model. Image how it would have placed with an extra 500 hp under the hood, like the Car and Driver test.
