i installed all the drivers in my device manager but i dont seem to have any sound do u guys have any ideas? i also hear distortion b4 i plug in my speaker plug

You really didn't give us any information...

What OS do you have?
What type of speakers?
most importantly (more so than speakers)...what sound card?
Is it muted?
Is it new?
Have you gone to the manufacturers support website?

Your going to hear "distortion" before you plug them in. That isn't distortion, its just the static from the plug.

You really havnt given enough information for us to help you.

Hey fiddles, try not to be such a dick. The guy is trying. Check the software for the sound card, there should be a tray icon, look for setting like auto jack sensing and check to see if the jacks have multiple modes that can be assigned via software. If you could post your motherboard model number it would help us to help you.

Perhaps you haven't plugged the speakers into the right output jack. Try some of the other ones. Let us know what happens!

If this is a gaming pc go ahead and consider a sound card, there not that much. Using onboard sound during a sound intensive game can hog as much as 20% of your resources.

Now, I have no idea what was originally said by you that got edited by the mod, but the moderator edited it for a reason. You got upset and called him a derogatory name . . . So you were warned again. Without knowing what your first offense was, I can't vouch for any kind of 'humor' or 'joking', but calling someone a 'PC Faggo..' isn't funny.

So, here are the lessons you apparently need.

1 - The Mod is handpicked by the owner of the site.
2 - This means the Mod is trusted by the owner to be his/her right hand in all things.
3 - this means pissing off a Mod is BAD STUFF.

I was joking. I wasn't kicking up a fuss, I made a comical reply. Yeah, I guess 'cause I'm settled in over at PCApex I thought I could make a silly joke over here without hearing "LAST CHANCE, NEXT TIME YOU'RE BANNED!"

When I start going off the rails, behaving anti-socially, and launching personal attacks in a seriously angry fashion, then by all means ban me and quote this reply. If I can't even joke around like I would with my friends then ban me too. I don't want to be part of a community that wants me to be a carbon-copy sheep loading my posts with smilies, never swearing, never joking, never moaning if something annoys me.
