| Well forgive me if i mispelled debue, but the 9600 is out, and i was wondering if anyone new when the 9800s would come out. On top of that when are the Nvidia 780a AMD Quadcore MOBOS gonna come out so's i can sli the 9800s on em. From what ive seen the amd boards are supposed to have superior support for the graphics cards(at least for the threeway sli *SHOULD* i decide to go that route), plus i just all around prefer amd, so its a waiting game. | ||

| I don't know about anymore but the benchmarks ive seen says the 8800 still outperforms the 3870s and on a few games the 3870s in crossfire do worse then if they were single. It just seems like they have real bad driver support right now. And even if the 9800s aren't as strong as they say they will be, but are close, they will beat a sli(possibly even 3way sli) 8800 ultra, which outdoes the 3870's, and for cheaper, so sli 9800s would outperform even a 4way crossfire. But we will see. | ||

| Actually the 3870X2 outperforms both the 8800GTS 512 and GTX in every game except Quake Wars. Driver wise AMD is a little better than Nvidia especially with regard to the X2. And while it's a possibility that dual 9800's will outperform 2 X2's AMD's has yet to release it's new high end part something which you don't seem to be considering. Secondly it would be an absolute travesty to pair 2 9800's or even 2 X2's with an AMD cpu. Intel just keeps releasing better and better CPU's. The new Wolfdales cores are especially great and of course the Q6600 is spectacular. I suggest you check out this thread over at our sister site PCApex. Cheers | ||
