Just a quickie poll/question thread.

What's under the hood of your primary gaming box?

I guess I can start things off with the hardware in my machine: (MID-RANGE)/(HIGH-END)

A64 X2 4200 processor, Zalman 7700

2x 74GB Raptor hard drives, RAID 0
2x eVGA 256MB 7800GTXs in SLI
2x 512 Geil Ultra X PC3200 TCCD

***Keep in mind, it took me a while to put this together, it didn't happen overnight***

I've got a pretty sweet machine, if I may say so.

- Thermaltake Armor chassis
- Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.61Ghz, 1.6v, 290x9. Zalman 9500 for cooler.
- 2x512MB OCZ PC4800 Platinum Elite Edition RAM @ DDR580, 2.5-4-10-4, 2.8v
- DFI Lanparty UT NF4-D
- Sapphire "Toxic" X700 Pro 128MB @ 518/580 (X1800XT coming in a couple weeks)
- Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum w/ Logitech Z5300e speakers
- 200GB and 160GB Western Digital HD's, and a 160GB Fantom external HD.
- Antec NeoHE 550W PSU
- HP Lightscribe DVD burner
- Logitech MX1000 mouse

This system took me about 6-9 months of saving and buying one part at a time. The X1800XT is the last part to go in, and i'm done!

(Mid-Range)
When i built this rig last year, i did so with the intention of upgrading again this year: I wanted more kick than the Athlon XP that i was using, and i also wanted to let the nF4/SLI/dual processor dust settle before i upgraded again. Since then, a back injury has put me on hold for major upgrades on my rig, but it still does pretty well. My next upgrade is going to be swapping my 2 X 512 RAM for 2 X 1G. Hopefully, sometime within the next 6 months to 1 year, i'll be able to upgrade the rest of it :biggergri
