| Now that I have an actual graphics card in my computer I just realized that quite a few games came out this year. So I've been busting through Assassin's Creed,Mass Effect, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. All in all they're pretty amazing---Mass Effect especially---it's fantastic. So what have y'all been playing that you find really good? As a side note the Assassin's Creed ending sucks. Really. Bad. Great game though. | ||

| Im currently at my parents house, looking for work during the summer so unfortunately am not playing much as I only have my EeePC with me ![]() Not much you can play on the EeePC, but i've have been enjoying some retro classics, such as Worms 2, AoE 1&2, Half Life and Blueshift, GTA 1 & 2 and SNES roms ![]() Seriously can't wait to get back to uni though, back to my lovely gaming rig, for some serious abuse of Spore and Far Cry 2 at the end of the summer ![]() | ||

Just put an 8800GT in a new e8400 rig (up from a single core 478 w/ agp grphics) and I, too, notice the difference in a HUGE way. So, I reloaded Oblivion, and it's reminding me of why it got all those awards for being a simply beautiful game. The environment is killer. I'm actually replaying the whole damned thing (it's so open-universe that it has a lot of replay value). Also reloaded F.E.A.R. Planning on purchasing Assassin's Creed and Crysis at some point in the near future -- as soon as grad school is finished (next week! . Then perhaps Spore. Heard really good things about Mass Effect -- you love it, yes?
Unfortunate. perhaps I can pick it up used, then ... -godling

| Just about anything I want... My new QX6850, 9800GX2, 4GB of DDR2, and RaptorX take whatever I throw at them and yawn... Crysis, R6V/R6V2, WiC, CoD4, SoF3, and MoHAirborne look awesome on a widescreen, BTW... I am kind of curious about AC, ME, and Grid, though, might pick those up in the next few weeks or so... | ||

| Right now I'm playing DarK Messiah - I know its a kinda older game , but kicking baddies into spiked walls and shooting flaming arrows at them so they run around on fire is just too funny . A friend of mine is bringing me R6 Vagas sunday ( he finished it i guess ) so I'll be checking that out. Oh and I'm still going throug the Sniper level on CoD4 for like the 100000000th time. Cant help it , I love head shots ![]() | ||

| Assassin's Creed is a really good game. It does get repetitive near the end---the whole gathering intelligence on your targets gets tedious, but the fights more than make up for it. Especially near the end you'll find yourself taking on 30-40 soldiers singlehandedly which is a phenomenally exhilarating feeling. Plus the game just looks flat out fantastic---it's amazing to be able to go flying across the rooftops of Jerusalem or Damascus. Mass Effect is well....amazing. It's got some minor flaws---it can be quite buggy(being unable to use your shotgun in a boss fight is.... ) and some of the sequences can be a bit boring because they become repetitive, but the story makes up for everything. Tough choices are standard for Bioware games but they're really excelled here---more so because it makes you fully appreciate that the whole damn galaxy is in your hands. Oh and the gameplay is quite good too | ||

You need to learn to detach yourself from the mud, sweat, and barbecue sauce of sniping... Be impersonal about your killing like I am... Play "Death From Above" on the hardest setting through your 50" plasma, with the surround sound system on and turned "up to 11"... Oh, HELL YEAH!!! ![]()

Mace, you have to learn to relax, brother... You need to get away from the mud and blood and barbecue sauce of sniping, and do what I do for "therapy": Plug into a 50" plasma, crank up the surround sound speakers (..."up to 11"...), and commence the carnage in "Death From Above" on the hardest setting... Don't tell anyone, but I DID plug into one of the displays back at the office I worked in in Iraq... The locals thought I was calling in a gunship on insurgents for about the first 5 minutes of the level...

| I finally picked up Assassin's Creed, since grad school is over, and I'm completely in love with the game. It could use some scantily-clad hot chicks, but other than that it's fantastic. Leap of Faith is just fun. Looking forward to some Spore at some point, and Mass Effect.-godling | ||
