Seems like just about everybody should be able to get in on the fun. So are you buying or do you prefer a more goal oriented game?

I'm definitely getting this game. It's a fresh idea into a field with carbon copies of carbon copies of carbon copies of carbon copies etc. so getting something that isn't watered down will be a nice change. Yet the game is still based on formulas which have worked int the past which is also comforting since that means the learning curve for most should be reasonable.

Fascinating concept! Not the "build your race" thing -- well, that is -- but the concept of uploading your creations into a server that then populates the rest of the games.

What this really does is allow the game players to generate the new content instead of the game manufacturers. Of course, servers must be maintained, but that's going to happen, anyway. It's sort of a support mechanism for the modding group.

I'm actually considering paying 5 bucks for the species creator.
