Default Nostalgic Gaming :)

Lately I've been diggin up older games that I absolutely loved when I was younger (and still do).

Some examples: KKND, Duke Nukem, Crusader: No Regret & Remorse, Carmageddon.

However there are a few games that I can't find by any means, three of which are:

Dark Colony
Dark Reign
Total Annihilation

I've checked eBay, and nothing. Anybody have any suggestions, or I could possibly buy the copy from you? Anybody have any suggestions for older pc games?

Apparently thedarkcolonyfansite.tk has Dark Colony and the expansion to download for free. Am on a Mac so I can't verify :/ but it's still worth a look

And check your pm's

i still play these games & more , that is why i still got an old P2 with voodoo 3dfx & windows 98se with 20gb HD so i can still play my older games just to name a few, Dark Forces , Dune , Shadow Warrior , XS , Excessive Speed (Break Neck2) , Crystal Caves , God of Thunder , Space Quest (all 6 of them) & much , much more

some of them still works in xp or in virtual pc but better of with the real OS

todays games have very good graphics but not as much fun to play with (except a very few of them) then the older games

anyhow i'm very happy with my old retro gaming machine even if i use more my XP machine then anything else i dont game much anymore but when i do want to play games i got lots of choices

tried that years ago & dont like it , i like better vdmsound wich is easyer & most old games works in XP but not the sound so vdmsound was good for that

i dont like to type all these old dos commands , like it better by clicking wich is what i can do in win98
& that is comming from a guy who use to love dos more than windows when it came out (3.11 ,Win95) but since win98se i got used to it & got more leasy but that how i like it easy & simple just clicks ,clicks

the other thing why i like it better on an old pc with win98 is even if you can play a game with dos box on your new machine some games will work to fast & be unplayable , sure there is a program that can slow down your cpu but also increase cpu heat

beside i still got 4 old pc (P1,P2,P3) & couple SB16 , couple 3dfx cards ,one TNT2 & lots of S-Dram , 1x14" ,1x15" ,1x17" spare monitor , 2 old gamepads & 1 joystick (gameport) so i spend nothing on these old pc just my time to put it together & installing win98se

Yeah I built a retro PC for this stuff. Gutted an old P1ghz that had a worthless motherboard and installed Win98 instead of the ME that was on it. Everything runs!

I never got around to giving Strike Commander a spin, I think I'll do that when I get back home

Still have my copies of the TA disks ... and still play occasionally. My LAN group still plays, very rarely, but they got tired of my fleets of Raptors wiping out their bases ... i've lost more copies of that game than I can remember, though ... they seem to keep disappearing after LAN parties. Used to be able to find the entire pack for about $10 in the used bin at EBGames and other places.

PM me if you still need a copy.
