| I just got Gears of War for Xmas but I can't figure out multiplayer ? Is this pay for play ?Where do I pay ? Who will play with me ? The game seams real hard on hardcore mode witch looks like it's medium as opposed to easy medium and hard. How long will I have to wait to get a reply on this site ? | ||

| No it should be free to play online but you do need a live account. If you just use the basic silver it's free. If you pay for gold then you get extra features but I'm not sure what they are. If you want to buy a gold account you can get one off of Microsofts site or from any of your local stores. By watch that's 3 minutes. ![]() | ||

| I just got GoW for my new 360. It's a hard game on hardcore and insane (I just finished both, w00t), but it's awesome. The PC version has a few extra chapters in act 5 of the campaign, but that's the only difference I know of. The multiplayer part of the game stinks. The co-op play is great, but the versus matches are lame - it's all about running straight up into another player's face and seeing who can squeeze the trigger on their shotgun faster. Unfortunately, I don't know how the Live thing works on Windows. I'm under the impression that you have to pay for it like Xbox Live, but I could be wrong. It's probably not worth your money, though. | ||
