what are you using for control?
i'm using keybord & mouse & it's works great & i can save all my games

Install the game then copy/replace all with the JF files in to duke3d directory & then run the setup file & setup your sound video & control then save & exit or save & run the game.
in the game you can go in to options & make some more setup there if you like.
& anywhere in the game if you want to save the game all you'll have to do is press the escape key & use the save game & save your game.

now two cheats i use to use for fun (type in the game)
dnkroz = god mode
dnstuff = all weapons , keys & inventory items
also type Tab during the game will give you the map

What I did was install the JF files first then looked to the CD for the game files. I setup the KB & mouse th way I like it but it doesn't let me save the game. It says saved but when you go to load one it is empty.

So I need to install the game first then install the JF files?

Exactly... the quality is not spectacular. But at least they put _something_ out. Hopefully this isn't just a literal 'teaser' or an empty promise of sorts.

Why do any of you have expectations for this game? What's wrong with you people!?

There's nothing wrong with having hope for a game. This game was my first PC game, my first FPS and really developed my interest.
