| Well , im just now starting the actual game **did the Demo**, and over at PCApex , Ive read the thread about the spoilers and the game being a let down, but............. How do you think the actual playing was ** barring the storyline stuff** . Was it good , clean killing fun or was it same ol' same ol' ............... Myself, I'm likeing it. I see some flaws in the movements and such , but still fun to play. I think the flaws are in my system though , not the game LOL | ||

| What bothers me about the game, is it is very hard to do the things that were initially shown in the trailer. I can never find a moment where a Humvee is speeding directly at me so I can punch it into the ground, let alone jump on top of a building and then start lighting the place up, after throwing a man 400 feet away. It seems impossible on normal, but maybe I could do it on easy. | ||

| I dunno I found it pretty easy to sneak up on people using the cloak, then dispatch them in humorous ways. For instance, at the very start, theres a washing machine lying about, which I picked up and threw, max strength, at a Koreans head. That was funny... But yeah I never got a chance to shoot out the wheels on a moving vehicle... sniping barrels next to large groups of enemies never got boring though... | ||

| OK, you can put me on the "disappointed" list, for both the gameplay and the game mechanics not matching up with the demo movies. I upgraded my rig for this game (and others, fortunately) and am left wondering if it was worth it. I am glad that I didn't go whole hog on the upgrade. Budget gamer gear runs it fine, and I don't see extra eye candy or higher resolutions making up for weak gameplay. | ||

| Only a matter of time before the game is ported to the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3. Since it's release, Crysis has sold just over 86,000 copies...that sucks... Lots of things have gone into this number... The fact that it's a 'requirement' to have Windows Vista/DirectX10 (I love Vista, but I know it wasn't a good idea to make it an almost Vista/DX10 exclusive) You need a super computer to run it at the best settings...and even then you still need a bit more power... It, like many games, isn't advertised as much as it should... It's on the PC at the moment. Lots of you PC guys will hate me for it (I'm looking at you waffles ), but if the game was on consoles as well as the PC I believe it would've sold well. Very well. And the console sales would've vastly out done the PC sales. We'll see how it goes though, but I fully expect to see a Crysis port within the next 6 months. They've put too much money into this game for it to be a flop... | ||

That means extra work, meaning extra cost and I doubt the console market would covert that extra cost PLUS the loss from the PC version. Perhaps they'll sell the rights to a console version to another company, but they won't do it themselves.

| Sempr0n? | Neither UT3 nor Crysis seem to have done particularly well. bit-tech.net | Crysis, UT3 sales disappoint developers People are saying it's because Crysis is such a punishing game to run. But that doesn't explain UT3 which was an anticipated sequel to an already established franchise. I fear for PC gaming. Will we ever see another game as good as Deus Ex? Or are developers going to focus more and more on consoles in light of these disappointing sales? | |

| What I think is hurting PC games is that 'the casual' crowd can look between a PC Game and a console game, not see much of a difference and decide that they'd rather spend "less" money on the console and game. Plus, most don't know that you can use a joypad with a computer game (which, might require some tweaking to get it right) and are 'scared' of the keyboard/mouse approach because of all the buttons and such. Also, PC games do not get advertised that much at all. I can probably count the number of times I've seen a Crysis commercial on one hand, using no appendages. If people don't know about it, they aren't going to buy it. I'm a hard core gamer and I left the PC side because I couldn't afford to keep up with the graphics/sound technology. It's just easier on a console. Granted, my wife and I bought a nice HDTV, but we get a helluva lot more use out of that then a pimped out SLI video card, so it's a better investment for us. I'd rather spend 300-400 every 5-6 years as opposed to spending 200-300 every two years on RAM, CPUs, video cards, and sound cards... | ||

The funny thing is PC Games are cheaper in cost relative to the price of Xbox/PS3 games. Doing the math in my head it about evens out, except my PC can do tricks your console cant*. *yet.

| I'm disappointed, even though I have only played the demo. The guns feel loose and iffy to me. The vehicles feel awful to drive for some reason. The motion blur is what kills me though - it's just annoying to see the whole screen blur just by slowly turning your character's head to the side (let alone running, strafing, and turning at the same time). | ||
