CoD:4 > Crysis.

Yah, I bought it, and the single player never lets up, I love it.

I think they improved it a lot since the demo. The demo ran like crap, but this runs really well.

They improved performance, but my 7600gt just doesn't cut it for my monitors native resolution anymore.

I would love to upgrade, but I just don't have the cash.

Seems as though my biggest foe is my framerate. I did just finish the Mac Millan mission, which is by far the coolest part of the game.

Amazing what happens when you actually play a game eh?


Slightly off topic, but did you really notice a preformance improvement over the demo waffles? They preformed about the same for me.

The demo was unplayble for me. I'm not sure why.

Might have been some bug in the demo, who knows.

wasn't there a problem with unoptimized demos as far as Crysis went as well? WTF???

I will say that the CoD demo played ok on the same machine that I'm running it on now...

The only hiccup is that every time i start the game, I get that same message about my hardware having changed, so the system is going to "optimize itself"...

Ive been having many issues with CoD4 multiplayer, but low and behold closing Xfire solves every problem ive had, retarded program...

Alrighty, then...

Crysis came in today, installed within a decent amount of time, and ran quite nicely so far at medium settings...

I'm really digging the nanosuit angle, with the speed and cloaking abilities...

Does quite remind me of Far Cry, though, I wonder why that could be? :crazy:

If you're still trying to make up your mind, I'd offer the following advice:

GET THEM BOTH!!!

PS: MoH: Airborne is pretty farking cool, too, IMO

Just got done beating CoD4 on regular...................... Way more fun than Crysis , but too short , I beat it in 3hours . I'll try it on VET and see if that makes a differnece ( im sure it will)

I love the sniper part , I'd love to find a game that was ALL like that part of CoD4.

That was probably the best piece of level design I've played in the past couple of years. It was SO intense, I really felt like I was there.

I didn't like Veteren much. It took all the fun out of the game. Hardend was just about right for me.

My favorite had to be the last level and finally getting that shot off at Zakhaev. That was great.

I dunno about the sniper part... i've done it three times now and managed to blow his arm off three times... im guessing its impossible to actually hit anything else?

Well, I didn't mean I was going for the perfect head shot. Just would have been nice to take, I dunno, say, his leg off, for example.

That is most tense I've been in a game before. The part where you are lying on the ground, and the group of soldiers and tanks go right past you, just awesome.

My fav mission of CoD4 so far is "Death From Above"... An HE-round-heavy flying Guardian Angel / Angel of Death... Ooooooh, lemme play it again, PLEEEEEEEASE??? Yes sir, I know I PASSED it, but it just gives me such pleasure to send high-explosive-tipped rounds down on the heads of those who would do my allies harm...

In Crysis, I just got to the AA sites takedown mission, the whole (SPOILER for those who have't gotten there yet KPA Nanosuit level threw me for a loop for a sec...)

Lovin' both games right now... I can't really decide which one I like better, to be perfectly HONEST...

Ok, so I made myself play more evenly between CoD and Crysis...

Death From Above is still my fav level in CoD4, but the rest of them from that point on (I just got done with the Chernobyl level and "Heat"... My roomies wouldn't go away (ie: they were watching over my shoulder, and it drove me NUTS), and I actually felt myself start to break a sweat during the crawling past the BMPs

Next level for me is the Joint Operation... Wooohooo!!! Can't hardly wait... :angrygame
