This is pretty much for Yunk.

I managed to stop the stuttering. Just got rid of the AMD dual core drivers.

Anyways.

This game is sick. I'm having a lot of fun playing it.

What do you think of it so far?

I loved it on the 360, and I hope Epic releases the extended levels/story-line that's on the PC as downloadable content for the 360...

Question though waffles? Are you playing it with a mouse and keybaord or a 360 controller?

I'm playing with a mouse and keyboard. I was going to try the 360 controller, but it's at my friends house :/

But yah, it's a crazy fun game.

Seems as though the game is having some issues with stuttering.

The game requires you to install the AMD dual core cpu driver. If I install the driver, my game stutters. If I don't, it crashes.

I'm hoping for a patch shortly.

Sorry for the multiple posts, but...

I strongly advise anyone wanting to pick up this game for PC, to wait for an official patch.

The game has some serious issues that need to be worked out by Epic.

Funny thing, I didn't see any studdering until after my 2nd run of the game.

And Waffle's mention of studdering.

Hell yes. I can't run it for more than a minute without it crashing to desktop. There are tons of people over at the GoW forums with the same issue. In Vista you can sort it by running as administrator, but in XP you can't. Clearly Epic did no testing whatsoever.

Go to your Binaries folder open up the lang.txt file delete everything and replace it with 0c04 . That did it for me. You might also try jumping straight into the campaign as it only crashed at the main menu for me.

So far it's pretty enjoyable. The action isn't as good as COD4, nor is the story (so far) but the characters are cool. The Cole Train is awesome.

Open Binaries folder and run Startup.exe to run the game. Runs fine.

(I'm in Vista, and set as admin, yet I can't run as Admin?)

Well I just beat it.

Fun game. Though the only way I managed to beat RAMM, was by way of a glitch. He managed to get himself on top of a concrete block and couldn't move.

Now for the multiplayer

I am currently playing this. I started after finishing CoD4. I am REALLY looking forward to Crysis, though.

Just got it the other day, but what with having Crysis, CoD4, Timeshift, and Jericho aaaaall to play at the same time, it's a slow process.

Runs at a solid 60FPS on Vista 64 with everything absolutely maxed. Just as I've come to expect with anything on the Unreal engine. No problems at all, very pleased.

I'm currently saving up for GoW, it looks fricken awesome, ever since it was on the 360.
