| Hellgate London Single Player Demo was released today. I'm downloading it from Demo Versions: Hellgate: London Demo - Demo Movie Patch Download Section - GamersHell.com But I'm sure it's available at Fileplanet and other sites 2 :-) Does GameApex have it's own download servers? | ||

| The gameplay is awesome. I normally don't enjoy these types of games but that was just flat out cool. That being said was the quest supposed to just cut off like that? I killed everything in the Covenent Garden area and the halls underneath and never found anything. ![]() | ||

| Ew! I downloaded the demo and played it for about 8 minutes. It took a lot of dedication to play for that long. It was TERRIBLE. The enemies fell and died like planks of wood, the character walked like a robot and when he moved over rubble it felt incredibly unreal and unfinished, not fluid at all. The graphics were nice and smooth I guess, but detail was crappy, and over-all the game felt very, very cheap. Reminds me of something from an old 90s arcade game but with updated graphics and nothing else. Am I going over-the-top here? Did I miss something? By my standards that might just be the worst game I've played. The Gameplay was frankly embarassing. | ||

| Ok, from what I've played so far (which is about 15 mins) this is a pretty good game. It definitely looks like its a MMO with a Singleplayer game attached to it. I enjoy playing the hunter so far, but I think tonight I'm going to try a melee class. Honestly the way the game plays is very Diabloish. I really think people are hyping this up as an FPS but I will tell you all right now, Its not! Its a RPG that you have the option to play in the FPS viewpoint (well atleast as a hunter you can.) The zombie's you fight in the beginning do have a bit of a card board feeling, but come on, they're freakin' zombies. I'll post up some ingame screens tonight and give a better idea of how I like it. | ||

Ahh, please don't rape the letters RPG Diabloish games are not RPG's, they have RPG elements but they're not RPG's. And just because a game is an FPS doesn't mean it can't be an RPG, just look at some the earliest RPG's (Might & Magic for example). The proper term for Diablo-like games is "action with RPG elements." Hopefully I don't sound condescending or that you feel I'm bashing you but this is a big pet peeve of mine.

| I'll give you that man. I mean I really haven't played a whole lot of it yet, and I wasn't really saying that FPS's couldn't be RPGs. What I was trying to get at was, while yea you're playing in a FPS viewpoint, there are alot of the FPS elements taken out of the game, like I really don't get the sense of panic that FPS game generates, but again I've only played out of Russell Square so I'll give a better idea of how the game plays. Anyone notice that Wirt the Peg legged boy made his way back to Hellgate London? | ||

p p p politcs and r r r religion !? I think it could be a great game but parts of it do feel stiff and kind of unfinished. Solid concept but they did themselves a dis-service with a shoddy demo. You don't even get anything other than fedex and orkin man quests.
