I'm downloading the PC Demo from Here. It started slow but I'm getting
it at about 100k. Got 2 hours to go :-)

I downloaded it last night but haven't gotten it installed. Sometime tonight I'll get it running.Why would they make NFS a console only game ? It's been on the PC since it came out.Carbon disapointed me with the weird storyline. With underground revolutionizing the series I couldn't understand the dragless muscle car series???Hope its a good one. Anyone play it yet?

I wasn't that impressed. The realistic driving isn't that realistic but it's not fake enough to be fun. The speed challenge is horrible. I found NFS fun becuase I could drive as badly as I wanted without any worries.

And then there's the fact that it's all legal racing. The whole game feels like it's catering to over worried moms and Jack Thompson. All the way from the first intro movie to the freaking retarded announcer. And of course the lack of cops. Most Wanted is the only NFS that's still installed on my PC and that's only because of the awesome cop chases. Without it the games just another cheap racer.

Can you get any software from Saitek's site for your controller?

Or is the game just not running? Run as Admin? Defrag? Reboot?

Are you in Vista x86 or x64?

This issue can be caused by any of the below possibilities.

File is corrupt, bad, or missing.

File is not designed for your version of Windows.

File is a virus, worm, or other malware file.

Hardware incompatibility.

Vista x86. I have run into a few compatability problems in the past few weeks but not many!
I'll check anyway as that may be the case.
As for the gamepad, I have all the up to date software/drivers for it installed.

After you downloaded the file how big was it? It should be 814,578 KB.
It sounds like a corrupt download to me.

I'm on the fence at the mo on this one...
This new Nfs offering has made good on the Gameplay/graphics count,:angrygame
but as for the 'feel' of the game/plot etc it doesn't give the same 'street' feel like some of its predecessors

. IMO!
I'll wait for the full version to come into my possession and then I'll give it a second look
