| I'm not gonna say EA is an automatic "FAIL" label yet (because, given everything they have their names on now, that would suck the big one), I'm actually kind of hopeful. As someone who is still playing SWG, I honestly think an MMO set int he Old Republic might be... hell, it would be a lot better by default. SWG ditched canon in attempt to broaden it's fan-base, essentially destroying the experience of the game in order to give every idiot the chance to be their favorite hero- only *gasp* that idea SUCKS. All you end up with is a million untrained and unrestrained force-sensitive characters (not even gonna call them Jedi, because they lack the proper principles) running around with lightsabers trying to be hot-shots. But I digress. I'm really hopeful that, in setting it in the Old Republic, they'll ditch the "iconic" approach, and stick to the canon a little more. Jedi did not run around the galaxy willy-nilly brandishing their lightsabers at anything and everything. Jedi- or Sith, for that matter, were wielders of near limitless power, and there is a balance, an order. So maybe in returning to the old days, when the road to becoming a Jedi Knight was along, hard one, that will be improved. Learning forms and powers could be a lot cooler if it were more structured. However, given the nature of the gamer, I'm inclined to believe that, since the road to power is a whole lot easier when you're not abiding by the rules, there will be a disproportionate number dark Jedi. Ah well. And really, I for one didn't want to be "iconic". I didn't want to emulate Luke Skywalker or Han Solo (actually, i cannot stand that they even exist in the SWG universe, let alone are central NPC's you have to deal with), and I don't think I'm alone in that. Maybe I just want to be a droid engineer roaming the galaxy in the back of (or dare I say, the pilot's seat) of a YT-2400, making a living off of his work and other goods of questionable origin and quality. Well, I think that's enough of a nerd rant for one day. Lets hope this doesn't suck like a black hole through a coffee straw. | ||

You played guild wars? I'm debating reinstalling it, it takes like three hours to install the updates.... As for Knights of the old republic, i dunno MO's are the way of the future, expect a lot more of them to come you way soon. I'm so glad bioshock has no internet playing capabilities. They will never be able to make it an MMO (hopefully, even how kewl it would be living in rapture)

| Sempr0n? | KOTOR 3 can get lost. I tried to play KOTOR 2 and it was boring and far too slow. I want Jedi Knight 4. Just think about it....lightsabres + CryEngine 2?! It's been years since I played a decent Star Wars game. Besides the Jedi Knight series I used to love X-Wing VS. Tie Fighter...damn....I must have played that game for months. | |

| Aye KOTOR2 does suck, but that was because it wasn't developed by Bioware; they handed it off to some 2 bit company. The original KOTOR is still amazing though. I'm playing through it again and it's still absolutly incredible. You might also try checking out X-Wing Alliance. There was an updated graphics patch which helped things a little. It's not great but it's better than nothing and the gameplay is just sublime. | ||

I'm with Reflux, Jedi Knight 4!!! I still play Jedi Knight I, with SBX 3.1 Mod. And I don't want any of that stupid puzzle crap, that ruined Jedi Knight II.

Sorry to say it was done by Obsidian and they aren't 2 bit lol they're young and pretty much took over Bioware's previous titles. Seeing Bioware developed Neverwinter 1 and Obsidian developed Neverwinter 2.
