| FilePlanet: Free PC Games, Downloads, Mods, Demos, Patches & Maps Well, last night I preloaded the UT3 Beta Demo, the Frontlines Beta and the CoD4 Demo as well as a demo for TimeShift. I will let you all know what I think of each. ![]() | ||

| I just got through playing a quick game with some bots and OMG! UT3 IS BEAUTIFUL! So far it has the best graphics of any FPS game... i think it looks nicer than bioshock as well as the Crysis MP Demo I have been trying. UT3 is gorgeous! I was able to run everything at max graphic settings at 1600x1200 and it runs smooth as buttah! ![]() | ||

| I played the same Frontlines Beta at ShowdownLan and that game is awesome. I think it may be a CoD4 killer even... it has some great gameplay and graphics as well as new features not seen in other large team based games like the Battlefield series. (remote drones anyone?) Make sure you check out that beta as well. I had never seen any screenshots of the game or anything before I tried it at the LAN. I was pretty blown away by how slick the game was in its beta stage. It's definitely worth a try. ![]() | ||

Jericho blew my mind away. Really really reeeaaally good, man. And aye, fall of '07 is the best period for PC gamers (more specifically FPS) in the last decade. Crysis CoD4 Bioshock Jericho Gears of War (PC release) Quake Wars: Enemy Territory Frontlines Timeshift Orange Box (for the new TF2, Ep.2, & Portal) Did I miss anything? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I don't see what the Big fuss about Jericho is. Sure the graphics are good, but I was bored with the game play. The only thing that caught my eye was the interaction in the climbing part, aside from that it was like... Boring, I would elaborate, but there are more pressing things to do at this moment.. Like showering. Well, the story seems good. | ||

| I like the cinematic feel. It was jumpy, and when the dead enemies move and woosh off in a swarm of blood-red dust, it makes you think they're still alive for a second, or just catches your eye and you mistakenly look for another enemy that's not there. I'm a major graphics snob too, so I was loving those motion blur effects. The explosions, and the wonderful textures and weapon designs, the rain, smoke, focus blur. The animations were really cool. When you reload weapons etc, your character moves his/her head about realistically as opposed to staying still constantly and just looking straight forward whilst you generically load your gun. The weapons were fantastic, the implementation of spells which work with your weapons, or just on their own. The system of a weapon in each hand, whether sword and gun, or machine gun and pistol. The chick with the sword was coolest; the strokes felt like they really connected, then the nice blood-splatter on the camera! ![]() Mostly I just enjoyed how cinematic it was. It's a very high-quality game with a lot of cool ideas that have been put into action and designed very well. The button-press interactive semi cut-scenes, the story, the atmosphere, you really feel like you're there in that hell-hole of a place. I'm hugely excited for the UK release tomorrow. Already reserved my copy! Also, to add to the list of soon to be released games: F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate - Another episodic expansion pack which I played the demo of, and it seems like simple F.E.A.R. all over again. Nothing new, and really showing it's age graphically now. Point Origin - The actual sequel for F.E.A.R. Set for a 2008 release. BlackSite: Area 51 - An FPS with the Unreal3 engine. Looks hawt. Demo available for 360 but not PC. Released in the second week of November apparently. | ||
