No it's awesome because you can throw those grenades back :biteme: ![]() I just got through and I gotta say I'm really impressed. The action is awesome--defending that tank was just incredible. And it actually looks really really good even on Low/Normal. Definatly a buy for me.

Seems like your focusing on what aspects of the game are original. Making anything original and new in gaming is hard, most of it has already been done before. Time to start focusing on gameplay and polish.

So what if its the same stuff? It's utterlly exhilirating (especially on hard). The COD series has never been special in the way that other games have tried to be. It does one thing really really well and thats massive heart pumping battles.

'Zackly! The one thing I always enjoyed about COD series is the intense action with smoke and explosions all over the shop! Not everything has to be new and original with every aspect of gameplay. If you got a good formula, stick to it!

| The CoD series is pretty straightforward as far as shooters go, they just try to overwhelm you with your environment and I think they do it pretty well. And it's not really just about pretty effects - it does force you to use cover and play smart instead of run n' gun. But yeah, as far as things we haven't seen before I think Timeshift is a little more inventive | ||

Yeah, I mean I loved COD2 so much I completed it five times in a row. As far as immersion goes, they're always right on it - everything's going on everywhere. It'll be interesting to see what scores the final game gets - if the level design is good, it doesn't matter as much about how inventive the game is. I just hope they haven't put the best mission in the demo. It was promising but it didn't scream at me.

I doubt it. The level they put in the demos are ussually pretty average by the game standards. COD4 is supposed to some "unique" levels, but as far as I can tell these are just rail shooting levels. Which is fine by me. I think I saw in a Gamespot preview that during one level you'll play as an ousted official fleeling from the rebels by yourself. If they pull that off properly it should be pretty awesome.
