Oh hell yeah this is great news! I am really looking forward to it on 360 but since it will be on PC first I will have to settle for that to tidy my over!

Dear god! I don't make money fast enough to keep up with these games. Anyone have a AGP 7 series Nvidia card they can sell me for cheap? lol I want to try Warfare mode so bad haha but it seems a lot like onslaught from UT2k4. anyone else feel that way?

Warfare will probably be pretty good but I just want it for some good ol fashioned deathmatch

Yes they did. And it sucks. It's puny sounding and lacks any of the punch the old enforcer had. You can dual weild them I think but you cant go gansta mode on people. :<

Frankly I'm fairly dissapointed with it. It feels like it's been watered down for console gamers.Almost all the customization options are gone (gameplay,graphics, etc etc). And when I do start up a game its moves so insanely fast that I can't tell what's going. I think part of that is my laptop screen lagging horribly. So I can't really fault the game there.

It looks ok (I've got it on low) I guess. But since the graphics options are limited to Texture Quality and World Quality I can't do much. I guess most of my complaints are really minor and the game will grow on my (if my monitor ever stops ghosting :furious3 but my first impressions were pretty dissapointing. I imagine/hope that they'll fix most of these by the time the full game comes out.

Your playing it on low, on a laptop. Well that's your own fault.

I don't see a reason that the graphics options should be more layed out. The game runs like butta' on my 7600gt, with Textures at 3 and world on 2. I tried the lowest settings, and the highest settings. The game does a great job on the lower settings. It does it's best to achieve performance, and frankly, it still looks respectable.

Keep in mind, this is beta.

Yah, I'll be honest, I spent about a half hour watching that one vehicles legs move, it's just so cool.

Well I've played it some more after fixing the graphics problems(had to upgrade to standard Nvidia drivers rather than the HP crap). And yes you can go gansta with the enforcers but as far as I can tell it just seems to randomly happen. And yeah it and the shock rifle are still puny as far as I'm concerned. The shock rifle especially is horrible.


The flak rifle though......the flak gun is amazing. Just like the original UT only now the blood & chunks look even better when you blow somebody apart.

I still think the whole menu/ui system suffers from consolitis. It's been way too dumbed down
and it's horrible.

But it's growing on me.

ADD: Oh and for those that want to enable AA, if you rename the UT3 exe to Bioshock.exe you can use the Nvidia Control panel to assign AA & AF to it.

I'm excited for this one. We've been waiting for a long time since UT2k4! Too many games coming out at the same time, though... Quake Wars, UT3, Halo 3, Crysis.... There's no hope for my grades or my wallet

You all know that the beta demo is already out?

Got the demo today. Seems pretty good. Not sure about how they've changed the look/feel of all the weapons though.

Just got the Beta Demo. Fantastic engine. Loving the graphics, it's like Bioshock but with anti-aliasing.

Runs incredibly, INCREDIBLY well. Not a single glitch or any slowdown in framerate on an 8800GTX. Flawless. I'll definitely be buying this.

Well I usually don't have a lot of time to play games. But I have been able
to find a little time to shoot people in the back of the head. It runs fabulious
on my pc at 2048x1536 with everything maxed out. I still haven't finished
BioShock but UT is a game I don't have to finish to enjoy. This game will
work it's way into my budget :-)

Well after a good bit of playing the game, found that my FX5500, Radeon 9000pro, and of course my dual 6600GTs, play the game at pretty reasonable frame rates.

Now, it isn't as addictive as the UT G.O.T.Y., nothing near the UT2K4, but its pretty damn fun. And i can't wait till Nov 20th.......

I can say this, the death adder is way too big. I'm kind of disapointed by the uber speed of the buggy, and the new vehicle in the demo, just sucks (even if the gun is kewl, its slow, big, and low fire speeds)

Otherwise, deathmatch it, just as I imagined, better than ever, I've already played a 10 player deathmatch online, and owned, I've found myself playing inhuman bots just to pass the time. w00t

I actually haven't had time to browse the forums, cause i was busy playing the game..

Ohh by the way, the Gamestop preorder comes with a few bonuses, a extra character, and a dvd with UT2k4, UT G.O.T.Y., and a few other things..

w00t, w00t can't wait, I might camp out, till 9 a.m. tuesday morning (hahahah)
