| My wife bought and shipped it to me here in Iraq. I've been playing it off and on around my free time / missions schedule, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Some of the missions are tougher than others, and whether or not they are even close to historically accurate, the diversity of the objectives within each mission makes for a challenge... I disagree that WWII games are out. That's not to say that more sci-fi - based games aren't taking more of a hold, but there are some gamers out there that still get a kick out of trying to secure the Arnhem bridge (Operation Market Garden), for instance... It may be a bias that I have, since I still remember my grandfather telling stories about his unit, their battles, his lost buddies, and the bond that the survivors shared afterwards. I think, actually, that he was a big reason that I decided to join the Army, and enlisted in the Infantry in particular... But back to the topic... regardless of my personal bias, I think the relative innovation of the wider "boundaries" system in Airborne is at least a reason to download and play the demo. There are boundaries, yes, you can't take off from Normandy and road-march to Berlin, but the handrails are spaced MUCH further apart than in previous iterations of the MoH series... | ||

| Sempr0n? | I was really enjoying it until I realised that it's bug-ridden and horribly programmed. What should I expect with an EA game, lol. I can't play for more than five minutes without it giving me a C++ error. Lots of other people are experiencing that too. I personally find WW2 fascinating, and I really enjoy WW2 games. It's such a unique place in history with recognisably modern elements, but still enough to discover that it isn't ever boring. I liked the way they've gone for the COD2 approach to this - making it really fast and furious with a lot going on all the time. I think it works really well. | |

| I bought the game from Rob at a great deal, and I can honestly say I love it. Though after the first mission, it gets pretty hard, but on the flip side, for a FPS it does have a great deal of re-playability, getting all the Skill drops and upgrades.... Or dropping into the middle of a Nazi infested nest. And World War games going away?... Never, everybody knows Nazis are the most commonly killed enemy. Yes, I get the errors too ![]() ![]() | ||

| I want awesome graphics and huge explosions and mind-blowingly impressive effects. I remember the Russian mission on CoD1 on the beach landing and some dude tries to jump off the boat and your superior blasts him for retreating, then there were bombs blowing up everywhere around you. It was very cinematic and completely engrossing. War games should have war-like atmospheres of havoc, panic, and complete confusion. And dammit what we really need are games with better human damage. Remember in Soldier of Fortune you could blow legs/arms/heads off. It was genius... whatever happened to furthering that sort of damage? Nowadays you're lucky to see realistic bullet-holes or even a little blood. | ||
