The Kentsfield Quad Core QX6700 NDA is up and Neoseeker has published right on time. Kentsfield, the first quad core processor on the market, is essentially 2 Conroe dies in one processor package. Intel claims as much as a 70% performance increase over the E6800 Extreme Edition Core 2 Duo. We put the QX6700 to the test in over 23 benchmarks, including overclocked results to simulate several upcoming Quad Core speed grades. In all we benchmark the QX6700 at 7 total clockspeeds raging from the 2.66GHz stock all the way up to 3.45GHz (aircooled)!
