Post Dual Format DVD-Writers Round Up @ HardwareZoom

"For reading of CD media, both Iomega & TDK were faster than Sony in all read test by as much as 30%. This is justifiable because TDK is capable of 40x read while Sony is only capable of 32x. However, for DVD+/-R media, Sony was faster than Iomega & TDK by 6%. For DVD+/-RW and DVD-Video media, Iomega & TDK were faster than Sony by as much as 88%. This is mainly due to the fact that CAV reading method was used by Iomega & TDK."
