While in NY a couple weekends ago, I had some time to kill and happened by an Apple store (yeah, yeah). They had a 30" display set up, and it was just.... overwhelming. I couldn't imagine it on my desk; it'd be like pushing the couch up against the TV stand and plopping down.

I think the 24" is as large as I could go. I use a standard 21" CRT at work, and that's ok -- the 24" widescreen would be the same height, just several inches wider.

I can hear my mother now. "Don't sit so close, you'll ruin your eyes!" I'd have to agree a 24" widescreen would be more than adequate.
