"Its been some ten months since ATI first unveiled its DX9 compliant (despite being well ahead of DX9's introduction) Radeon 9700 series based on the R300 chip. Since its release on the market, it's certainly proven to be one of ATI's most popular products for many years, with both gamers and OEM's taking a shine to it and developers taking stock of its DX9 feature set and relatively clean architectural design. Despite R300 class products being available for some 9 months now, and ATI having already announced and released its high end successor in the form of Radeon 9800, powered by the R350 development of R300, sales are still high for 9700 class products. The performance of 9700 and quality of image is still very strong in competitive terms, so coupled with falling prices they are still an attractive upgrade option." About Saphire on their website, it says that the "Ultimate Silent Partner" is coming, and says that they along with ATi are about to revolutionize gaming, what is going on?

"Sapphire has teamed up with the premier graphics card manufacturer in ATi..." That might help with the answer. I got it from Sapphire.
