| Apex Tech God | 8 cores on 1 chip? AMD and Itel are hardly proclaiming baout 4...let alone the heat problem facing such a design. Raza Microelectronics might have the answer. Their 64bit chip called the XLR combines 8 cores each running at 1.5GHz....a similar chip would be the Cell that is now seen in the Playstation 3, but not with the EPU tactics. With 4 threads per core, the chips has no problems facing the tasks it creators intend for it, most of them being Networking and Server commands. Production is expected 3rd Quarter.
