Lightbulb Affiliate Reviews: PSUs, Mobos, and Cooling

Seasonic S12-430 430 Watt Power Supply Review @ PCstats.com
Quote:
"A good power supply is becoming more of an essential component for modern computer systems than it ever used to be. In this review, PCSTATS will be testing out Seasonic's S12-430 power supply. This 430-Watt supply features Active Power Factor Correction, dual 12-volt outlets, ' silent focus' fan control, honeycomb ventilation and a full three year warranty. It also comes with a nifty 'DR. Cable' cable management kit for a neater PC interior."

Ultra Products X-Finity 600W ATX PSU @ Bigbruin

Fortron Sparkle ZEN @ techPowerUp
Quote:
Today we have a very special PSU on the test bench - it is completely passive. Fortron trusts their design so much that they say a backup fan is not needed.
I was surprised to see the Fortron Sparkle ZEN power our demanding test platform without any load problems. While the electrical noises were definitely annoying, they are only noticable on higher power systems.

Asus K8N Motherboard Review @ CoolTechZone

Gigabyte's GA-8AENXP-D Mainboard @ HEXUS

If I have to say something bad about the board, it's that the aesthetic makes me decidedly unwell. Go forth and seek, should high-performance, feature-packed, well-presented Pentium 4 be your Valhalla. Highly recommended.

hopefully that ultra psu won't turn out like the x-connect where the earlier models were great and the ones sold now seem to have more problems . ..

took a look at the thermaltake rocket review and is it just me or does that reviewer have terrible grammar?

I hope Nev looks at this. His TT is finally getting reviewed. Holy crap it actually cools a bit better than a stock heatsink. http://www.techniz.co.uk/modules.php...id=225&page=14
