| Custom What? | I have had some reports of Emails coming from an unknown source stating,
Do not verify anything with their link, it is not secure and gives an IP of a differant location other than Paypal/Ebay. Will gives more details as I can find them. | |||||||||||||||||||

Good work there Lokie What is it with phishers and their spelling and grammatical skills though? 8 instances of incorrect capitalisation, 1 spelling error & 1 missing word, all in such a short email? ![]()

Apparently, you hack a DNS server and point "www.paypal.com" to YOUR IP instead of the legitimate one. Then you set up a site that looks just like paypal. And when the unsuspecting log-in, BAM! You've got their ID and password and they never suspect ... "Honest, officer, I never clicked on a link. I typed www.paypal.com into my browser." -MF |

| Eleven-Bravo Sitrep Writer | I got it! We all boycott the internet!!! We quit chatting, using email, and looking at prOn (sorry, Spectrum (j/k)), and then all these bad people will no longer have anyone to target, they'll all just wither and die...Seriously, though... If and when either eBay, PayPal, or some random asshat sends me something that even closely resembles that, I don't even bother clicking on the link to view the message. Highlight the message and trash it. Next time I log into eBay or PP, if there is something wrong with my account, I'll fix it then. And the speelling thsee peploe use is reedicuolus. Just about everyday I have 3~4 messages that look to have been typed by either: 1) a drunken monkey on speed/crack/whatever 2) a second-grader who's missed his/her Ritalin 3) an asshat spammer who has no idea that his spelling is giving it away
