Default Web research: Carbon Fibre heatsinks?

Copper silver and gold are the first things that come to mind when you mention performance heatsink to a teki. Tell him the carbon fibres another option and they'd probably laugh at you unless they know they physics and chemisty well enough. Carbon in its purest form - diamond can push and shove 2000W/mk...this however is expensive and no one wants a $30'000 heatsink in their system. Carbon fibre however, when produced in a "fluffy state" can push up to 520W/mk....100 more than silver....its also very light weight, ultra strong and costs as much as a can o' coke.

Frosty Tech shows the new system, that uses what appreas to be a liquid colling solution with the fluffy pipes attached.

LINKAGE HERE...this however, may well be a few years untill it hits the desktop market.

That's just plain interesting. I expected that eventually for extreme high end systems, people would resort to forms of carbon, diamond was my thought, not natural ones, but man made ones, but I never gave carbon fiber a thought. Very nice linkage.
