| Apex Tech God  |  Micro$oft to enter ANTI VIRUS sector.... One can think of one word....monopoly. MS now intends to enter the AV section, following its recent purchase of Romanian antivirus firm, GeCAD Software Srl, and its development of Anti-spy-ware software. Some how I feel MS is making money from its own mistakes. The lasat I remember of Antivirus related material form Microsoft or a distribution was with Win3.1 back in 1992. Seems the dead are being brought back to life. Symantecs response is one of iminent failure: A Symantec executive, Vincent Weafer, said Microsoft's success as an antivirus company at Symantec's expense was not guaranteed. Weafer noted that some leading security companies have decades of specialized experience and skilled researchers.
