Rekeying your Keyboard

XtremeMod's has posted a very excellent how-to on rekeying your keyboard. I know many of you have wanted to paint you keyboard including the keys, but have run into a dead-end when it came to putting the letters back on. Well this is the how-to for you!

"How many of you have thought about modding your keyboard? My guess is that you came across the same problem that most people do: Ã‚â€œHow do I paint the keys and still read them?Ã‚â€ For those of you with raised letters, you may have tried to paint your keys already. Some of you may even trust your memory of the keyboard, but most likely, you have just avoided painting the keys, painting only the keyboard case. Then there are those who have just given up the idea, after all, you canÃ‚â€™t type with out a keyboard, and paint doesnÃ‚â€™t dry completely in a few hours.'

Damn, imagine putting those decals to use in applications other than just keyboard keys...how about making your OWN window appliquÃƒÂ©s or case decals? All you need is some clear-coat to make them last and you're done! I'm getting some ideas here...(not windows, btw).

damned cool article. not sure how i would like that touchpad in there or if i would ever use it, but creative idea. definately love the smartcard idea. anyone see where these extrenal USB ports came into play? IIRC, he had a 2 port hub. one went to the smartcard and the other to the keyboard, then i thought he said he was putting in some external ports.. did i misread that?

yeah, i read the part 2, but i still didn't see where the other ports came into the picture.. oh well.. damned cool mod anyway.
