| | Web News: LCD Monitor Soon To Be 10ms CMV distributor to release 10ms response time LCD monitor in Taiwan | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | | HannStar Entertainment, a Taiwan-based distributor for CMV-branded LCD monitors, claims it will be releasing the worldÂ’s first 10ms response time 17-inch LCD monitor (CT-720D) in Taiwan this September, according to company president Willy Lu.
The company said that the new product, using panels from Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO), will only be distributed in Taiwan and will have a total response time of 10ms, which includes both the rise time (Tr) and fall time (Tf).
According to BenQÂ’s US website, rise time (Tr) is the time it takes a liquid crystal to deflect from a zero voltage to a new voltage, while fall time (Tf) is the time necessary for a liquid crystal to return to a zero voltage. Put simply, total response time is the time it takes for an LCD panel to go from total white to total black and then back again. | | | | | | |
