Apple Computer confirmed Thursday that it is working on an all-new iMac but that the machine won't be ready until September, well after the Mac maker runs out of stock on the old model.

Quote: The Cupertino, Calif., company said it has stopped taking orders for the current iMac models and had hoped to have the new iMac available by the time the supply of current iMacs dries up. The delay means that Apple stores and resellers will be without an iMac model to sell for all of July and August and some portion of September.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with their deal with IBM...

I have a problem...I am a weak man and I have always wanted most what I cannot have. I can't keep it from getting out any longer. The Mac has always been my other woman! I look at her with the pretty colors, gorgeous and intuitive user interface, it's streamlined single click and a processor designed to burn baby! and I wonder what would it be like to take her home. Is it truly all it's cracked up to be? Should I tell my PC? Maybe I can hook them up together in a little network threesome!

Trips to Future Shop are like trips to the strip club. I sit there front row and watch her and her friends perform and start to wonder what that lapdance sorry I mean laptop can really do for me. It takes everything I have to get up and head to the one isle of software dedicated to the Mac...thats when I realize she is way to high maintenance for me. She would sit on my desk and just be there when I get the urge but even though she may be better suited for performing other tasks she can't run Half-Life2, or Doom 3.

sigh...so gorgeous but so useless to me but rumor has it the new xbox might get the G5...hmmmm

ya but the g5 in the xbox is tripple proccessors all... on die or something... i dunno if i worded that right.
