U.S. arrests dozens over Internet child porn distribution

	Dozens of people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing federal crackdown on the distribution of child pornography sent over the Internet using peer-to-peer file sharing applications, federal law enforcement sources said Friday. Attorney General John Ashcroft and officials from the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday announced the results of the latest enforcement actions which have taken place throughout the United States in recent days.

I am glad to see those bastards go down. Most of the P2P networks have been flooded with that crap. Why didn't they crackdown on that shizit years ago?

My 8yo neice was searching for a Britany Spears song a few years back and it ended up being a child porn video. She did not know the differnce between an mp3 and a mpg. Imagine how many times this has happened to other people by mistake, and then maybe get put on an FBI list.

It should have never have happened. This crackdown is just a little to late though. The distrubtion of this garbage has reached an astronomical number of people through P2P networks. Should have been watched from the beginning.
