| Didn't you read what he was originally trying to do? He was trying to have it automatically patch MyDoom and Beagle for all the peoples, but then he strayed on the dark side. I want one that replicates like his, but have a popup that says "You're computer is vulnerable." then have a link to download the patch from M$ or just close it, then it'll delete itself. Does no harm and helps people. Not so sure how happy the SS or FBI would be with that | ||

| All it's going to take is this: Some mega-rich Wall Street-type is going to catch a virus on his brand new laptop, lose all of his frickin' Qicken data, all of his MS money data, and have his assets frozen because of a glitch due to his machine shutting down mid-transfer of the biggest transaction of his life! Mega-pissed, he hunts down this virus writer and blows his head off on live TV! Won't solve the entire problem, but it may just cut down on come of these petty virus writers for fear of getting iced. Won't be me 'cause I don't have any cash to lose. I should start a group: BMW - Broke Modders Worldwide. | ||

| To those who thought that was a little extreme: I do admit that even though that was excessive it may express the sentimement of many. History has shown us that it takes an extreme act by one or a group to spark change. Many countries don't improve or even consider security until a terrorist attacks. Microsoft doesn't patch until a vulnerability is exposed in public. Many users still don't buy or install an antivirus program until they have to rebuild from losing their grandkid's pictures or all of their porn to a virus. Viruses like melissa and I love You had such a profound affect on our governments and corporations that it let them know just how vulnerable they really are. We need stronger convictions of virus writers to send a message to them that we're not taking it anymore. I guess that' s the moral of my story. | ||

| Direct Cool Hoe | If it were up to me, I'd volt-mod some of that well spammed/advertised male enhancment gear and require him to sustain a 110vt charge to the region every time he thinks of putting his fingers to a keyboard...not too sure if that would fall under "crewl and unusual" punishment act, but that's what I would do. | |
