The fins have serrated edges, presumably to increase overall surface area for better cooling. The serrated edges aren't sharp, but you wouldn't do well to run your fingrs over them repeatedly. | | | | | | Dr. Thermal A8641-L Cooler Review | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | | While there are fantastic cooling solutions available, typically you have to pay dearly for them. More often than we appreciate, we need an inexpensive cooler for a OEM processor. Say you are building a system for a relative; are you going to give grandma a $60 copper heatpipe cooler with a dustbuster-ish fan or are you going to put together a stable and quiet system for her? | | | | | | Thermalright SLK-948U | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | | ""As we've seen here today, the SLK-948U's performance is quite good. Being a universal heatsink, you can easily move it from platform to platform should you need to. Depending if you're interested in setting up a low-noise system, or a loud, overclocked one, you're well covered with the number of fan options allowed." | | | | | | Swiftech H20-8501 Kit | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | | Swiftech has really build a big ass reputation when it concerns high quality cooling products. Their quality is superb, their prices are quite right and their mcw50-t waterblocks was a blast! Everyone here in Holland wanted one and OC-Shop were one of the first to sell them. Today I'm looking at their H20-8501 water-cooling kit that has a dual radiator setup, along with their fill and bleed kit and new 12 volt pump. Swiftech has updated their waterblocks as well. I'm looking at the MCW5000 waterblock along with the brand new MCW20 Chipset for pentium 4 motherboards, they also have a special amd version or one that's compatible with both. | | | | | | |
