Yet More Cellphone News.

FINNISH FONE maker Nokia is expected to unfurl a mobile phone using wi-fi technology at the GSM Cannes show today.

The phone, the 9500, is expected to include facilities including voice over IP, using the hotspots which are springing up like dragon's teeth across Europe.

Heheh, for realy j-dogg. We have IP phones we're testing here at work and they sound like crap. When you hit speaker phone it sounds like you are in a 55 gal drum...

Well the main connection on these phones is still using GSM technolgy.

But it will sure be nice being able to access the web though your phone without having to pay the huge fees cellular companys charge

meh.....all i use it for is text messages, and even then hardly. Its mainly to email pictures to other peeps.

I have Sprint as well and I am getting it FREE also...and you are right it isn't the best but hey it's FREE!!! And it is nice when I plug it into my laptop to use as a wireless modem...
