| "Hyper-Threading is IntelÂ’s fancy name for allowing a single processor to process multiple threads. Multithreading is commonly found in multiple CPU configurations where each processor is assigned a thread. Hyper-Threading changes things around by allowing a single processor to process two threads at a time. The reasoning for this is not all applications utilize 100% of the CPUÂ’s resources at a time, with that thereÂ’re always spare unused CPU resources, since a single processor can only handle one thing at once. Hyper-Threading remedies this by allowing two threads to execute on the CPU at once, hopefully maximizing use of all available CPU resources." Link | ||
