Intel Itanium dual core roadmaps up on web

They reveal that in 2005, Intel will release a 24MB cache dual core Montecito Itanium using 90 nanometre technology.

And in 2006 Intel will release Tukwila, formerly known as Tanglewood, a multicore chip developed by the Alpha team Intel bought from Compaq before Compaq was bought by HP, in a deal which we've still to fathom completely.

You might want to know what Tukwila means. It's a city near to Seattle, but it's also a native American word for hazelnuts, a local resident of the city tells us.
