"Today, we get to take a look at their highest performing product, the Asylum GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256MB. Like many of the other companies offering NVIDIA-based solutions, BFG seems to try to differentiate some of their products with unique cooling solutions. I think this board has their best looking and probably best performing cooler yet. It resembles the one that was on the BFG 5900 board, but this time BFG's engineers have employed a heatpipe design for more efficient cooling."

"Before diving into the goodness, lets put everything on the table just incase there are a few newcomers here. The 9800 XT (R360) is a turbocharged 9800 Pro (R350). The XT is able to run at a core frequency of 412MHz which is 32MHz higher than its predecessor. The XT's memory speed also received a kick, landing it at 365MHz (730MHz effective), which is a 7% increase in speed from the R350. Other than the those two increased clock speeds, there isn't any thing wonderfully new about the technologies that are featured on the XT."

"With their 5200 and 5600FX cards, nVIDIA can boast Direct X 9 compatibility even in their lowest budget cards. Before now, ATi on the other hand only had their 9200 card in this budget pricepoint, which still uses 8500 technology. This means that it is only a DX 8.1 functionality. The card we are looking at today has remedied this situation, and provides buyers with a full DX9 solution for under $100. The cheapest 9600SE I have seen on our sister site Pricewatch goes for around $90. This puts it just under the 5200 Ultra price, and almost identical to the 5900 XT price. The card we are looking today is the HIS version, their Excalibur 9600SE. "
