AMD claims $31m Loss, Says its on the right track.

"CEO Hector Ruiz claimed the figures showed the company was on track to become the "Earnings machine we are working hard to become."

Third quarter sales were up by 88 percent from the third quarter of last year and were up by 48 percent from the second quarter of this year.

The company posted a net loss of $254.2 million in the third quarter last year on sales of $508.2 million. Sales for this quarter amounted to $954 million, the company said."
